I've just ... vs. I'm about to ... - chrismerck - 2012-09-13 Greetings Koohii Users! I've just started learning Japanese seriously after over a year of keeping it at arms length. I'm really excited about it, but every once in a while I get stuck. So, I'm looking for some clarification on a grammar point: Is it true that the following two sentences mean "I'm just about to start a new project" and "I've just started a new project."? Thanks a million -- or rather 百万! -Chris I've just ... vs. I'm about to ... - yudantaiteki - 2012-09-13 Yes. I've just ... vs. I'm about to ... - chrismerck - 2012-09-14 Woah! Awesome. Thanks.
