For some reason my kana reading is a little slow, and it's annoying me. Can someone recommend a sight that has some kana-only, horizontal text stories? I'd like to read about 15-30 min per day for a week or two. I'm lazy, so I'd prefer not to convert anything.

Sounds like you could benefit from the Hiragana Times. They have a free news clip that they mail out daily.

If you subscribe, they offer their magazine that comes and an audio companion. Which is pretty much a Japanese person reading the magazine, verbatim.

But for some reason the emails aren't coming in. Plus, it's not enough to read anyhow. So I take back what I said before - can someone recomend a converter, so I can take a normal news article and convert it to kana?

Try ひらがなめがね. I haven't used it in a while, but it should be what you're looking for.

You could try children's stories and folktales, they use few kanji, sometimes none.

Children's stories, few kanji, but all of them have pronunciations given in kana.

Also, "Le Petit Prince" on the list of free audiobooks has very few kanji, plus it has accompanying audio so you can follow along.

Finally, manga for children will typically have furigana over every single kanji.
