Question for Katsuo...or anyone else wif da info - synewave - 2007-11-18 Can you tell us how many of the 2042 from RTK1 and/or how many of the 常用 set don't have kunyomi? Cheers, Andy Question for Katsuo...or anyone else wif da info - Katsuo - 2007-11-18 It's difficult to be precise because many kanji have rare and unofficial readings. When you include uncommon readings you probably get a figure closer to Katsuo's result. Question for Katsuo...or anyone else wif da info - Katsuo - 2007-11-19 With regard to the "Others" category in the chart, I believe there are only two Joyo kanji (質,法) which have >2 "on" readings but no "kun". Then, from the chart we can calculate 664 + 71 + 2 = 737 Joyo kanji with no kun reading. |
