Sciencey sources of Japanese? - Javizy - 2012-06-02 I like reading the stuff on Science Daily, blogs like Cooling Inflammation, Hyperlipid and Whole Health Source and the occasional book from Amazon. I search PubMed and other sources to find out info or learn new stuff sometimes too. Apart from books, which tend to be quite watered down, I don't have any Japanese sources like the ones above. I tried finding a Science Daily equivalent, but could only find sites with a tiny science section that rarely had areas I'm interested in. Does anyone read any good blogs on science, health, nutrition etc? Is there something like PubMed or a journal with free articles like Nature (some of the reviews read like a chapter from a good book). I wanted to write a lang-8 entry about some mind-controlling parasites I was reading about, but realised my vocab is too shite to do it smoothly. I don't think it's so much needing a lot of new words as just seeing how people express this stuff in Japanese. Wikipedia tends to be boring... Sciencey sources of Japanese? - partner55083777 - 2012-06-02 Probably too watered down for your tastes, but I think Wired has a Japanese version. Sometimes they write about sciency stuff. edit: There's also slashdot.jp. If I remember correctly, there is a specific "science" section (i.e. sciency things that are not computer-related). Sciencey sources of Japanese? - Shinichirou - 2012-06-02 Well, probably not exactly what you have been looking for, but if you search for scientific stuff on the pages linked to below, you may find some really interesting articles I believe. http://jairo.nii.ac.jp/ http://ci.nii.ac.jp/ja http://vs2ga4mq9g.search.serialssolutions.com/ Sciencey sources of Japanese? - Javizy - 2012-06-03 Thanks for the suggestions.
