Japanese Names - Anki Deck - johnzep - 2007-11-15
I made an Anki deck of the top 1000 Japanese family names and posted on the Anki wiki.
You can download the deck here.
I got the list of names from this site about Japanese names
The deck is listed in order of popularity, so you can study the useful names first. I figure 1000 names will cover a pretty sizable percentage of the names you'll run across.
This is the first deck I've made to share, so if you get it, let me know how it works out for you ^__^

Nice. Will you be making one for given names as well, those are much more challenging in my experience. There is so much variation even for the "same" name that I guess you'd have to just go with the most common one(s).

luckily is wasn't too hard....just had to copy into a spreadsheet and then import into anki. I didn't enter it all by hand ^_^
