Dictionary definitions of English RTK keywords - lauri_ranta - 2012-05-27
I selected some less common keywords and copied definitions for them from New Oxford American Dictionary, which is used by Google's dictionary API and the dictionary application in OS X. I also included separate sections for ambiguous keywords and keywords that didn't have exact definitions in New Oxford American Dictionary.
There are still probably some errors, and particularly the section for ambiguous keywords in RTK3 could be expanded.
The lines in each section are sorted by the RTK frame numbers. The keywords and frame numbers are from the sixth edition of RTK1 and the third edition of RTK3.
As far as I'm concerned, the list is released in the public domain.
(Note that the Google Docs spreadsheet posted by frony0 below is based on an earlier version of this list. After it was made, I have changed the format of this list, added keywords for RTK3, fixed some errors, added and removed some words, and switched to sixth and third edition keywords.)

I think plain text is a lot more usable than Google Docs though. If anyone wants to import the lists to a spreadsheet application, you can do a regex search and replace like this:

I'm also going through RTK1 (say approximately 1400) and so I may be wrong, but would it be possible to verify the following:
328|津|haven|A place of safety or refuge
Does it instead mean "A harbour or anchorage protected from the sea."?
540|遂|consummate|Make (a marriage or relationship) complete by having sexual intercourse
Does it instead mean "To bring (a task, project, goal etc.) to completion; to accomplish."?

Does it mean "ward" in the sense of ward off/protect/defend?

Edit 2: About 680|型|mould|[British spelling of mold], I believe "mold" *not* in the sense of the fungus, but in the sense of a mold in shaping things.
Edit 3: I think 1455 "specimen" is ambiguous because it does not refer to an animal specimen, but rather "An individual instance that represents a class; an example. [e.g.] early specimens of the art of Picasso"
