Finished RTK1. Should I start RTK2 or RTK3? - Simplyfreischt - 2012-04-25

Yeah, I did it. Now, how important is RTK3 exactly? Even after completing RTK1, there are many characters which I can't yet recognize. Will doing RTK3 solve the problem? Or should I do RTK2 now? I will be reviewing RTK1 time and again. All in all, I want to ask as to how important is RTK3?

I am a student and can't spend over an hour. What do I do now? What did you guys do after you completed RTK1?

Most people seemed to either do a Core2000/6000 deck, KO2001 deck, or make their own deck of sentences.

Most don't seem to bother with RTK3 and even fewer with RTK2. Its best to learn readings in the context of words. Or so I think.

I agree that the Core decks seem more popular. I went through RTK2, and it was very useful, but other approaches might be more efficient. How much grammar have you learned?

I went through RTK3 fairly quickly after RTK2, so I can't really judge how useful it was, personally. I never tried reading much of anything without having done all three books.
