Kanji app for help reading manga with no furigana - coinbaahd - 2012-04-08

Hello everyone, I've just been looking for some app for my iphone to help me read some manga with no furigana. It seems to be a pretty futile task. Does anybody know of something that can help in this situation? I just want an app that lets you write the kanji with your finger and then maybe string a few kanji together so I can get the meaning and reading of some words that I can't understand. So then maybe I could take a word like this, 修行者達, and with this miracle app I could get the reading and throw that bad boy into my anki. Anybody know of anything like this?

Cheers.

Any of the Japanese - English dictionaries that you can download for iPhone will let you do this, provided you've installed the right language inputs. My phone has the kana and Chinese traditional (this one let's you draw the kanji) keyboards installed, and I use one of the free Japanese-English dictionaries. Just simply switch your language input to the Chinese input, draw the kanji you want to look up, and you can then add it to your search bar. It will let you string together as many as you want to look up compounds too. You should be able to save the words you've looked up - maybe one of the other posters here know how you can transfer it to Anki from there.
Hopefully that helps a bit.
