The problem is that what I`m looking for must fill some criteria:
- The qualification should be acknowledged by empolyers, and other official bodies (Bsc in Physics)
- It also should be part-time as I cannot afford full-time study, unless I find a grant or something like that
- If I have to pay for it, the country where I`m doing the qualification should offer at least student loans, regardless of if sy has already got a degree or not, apparently in the UK you cannot gat a student loan if you already have a degree.
That`s it. Educating myself is not an option imo, physics is not something you can understand simply by going through the books.

Employers are not looking for people who took 3/4 years out of their working lives to do a degree honestly aimed at 18-22 year olds that basically just says "I managed to stick to studying something for a few years while having my hand held by my institution and am reasonably good at calculations and logical reasoning".

Indeed, people who switch or cross over to different academic fields do just this all the time. Ronald Fisher didn't just drop everything he was doing in mathematics to get a BSc in biology in order to work on genetics, he just started study on genetics on his own initiative.

I wanted a Bsc because I wanted to start from the basics, although I do have some physics knowledge already. I did not know that you can apply for a masters without a bsc, but instead of a bsc (which is well-structured probably) you need to take some extra qualifying courses. That sound a bit awkward to me. How can I get financial support for a masters program? I want to go to the open university, since they are the only one offering part-time physics courses (Bsc / Msc).
Besides I have a degree in economics, I don't think that I can apply for a master program with that, even with a qualifying year, the two disciplines are just too far away from each other, only a few subjects overlap.

In the UK I don't think you can get funding for either in these circumstances generally, but a one year Masters for the sake of putting something on your CV shouldn't be prohibitively expensive (just study and save up beforehand).
Taking a BSc with the OU in preparation for an MSc would just be a waste of money. All they're doing is charging you to supply you with study materials at a certain pace - it's not even like you're being closely mentored by scientific greats. You can do that (studying) by yourself for free, or nearly free.
Switching from economics is no problem whatsoever as long as you put the independent effort in (just go to PhysicsForums or something if you need help). Many people have made greater leaps. You mentioned doing a PhD one day - a good couple years of intense, isolated study will be a good test of whether you're really cut out for it.

So discouraging. So according to the article a PHD is not worth doing, except for medicne and finance. However a lot of quant jobs require PHDs. My friend in finance got a PHD in Hungary and now has a better job than I do. Maybe I should do a PHD in finance, and a masters in physics? It seems more realistic, but I`m still confused.
Will need to get in touch with universities around the world, to find the right course for me in physics, obviously the open university is not the only option, and as far as I know they do not have a masters course in physics.

I'm now studying in Kyoto and I'm looking for a research theme for a masters degree.
a masters in 国際文化. The two fields I'm interested in are as in below.
I'm thinking about doing something on social media, still have to read some books. But, I'm not really sure. Does this research on Japan include socio anthropological studies? I've read a lot of 日本人論 and wouldn't mind to focus my study on a particular japanese culture characteristic. But I think that's more related to sociology so I'm not sure...what do you think?
For example, let's say I'd like to do research on a particular characteristic of 甘え. I'm going to ask to a teacher of mine next week, but I'd like the opinion of other people too.

You sound sarcastic, but I might just do that. I know people who are at home in their 28s 30s, no problem, wht cant I do the same? Being free is everything for me, having all the time to myself only, its a great feeling. Yeah, I might quit my job shortly and travel back home to my old room. God, I miss that room
