Going from JLPT2 to JLPT1 deck - Weirddo - 2012-03-20

I'm currently on the JLPT2 Anki deck with the first 1000 or so kanji, but I'm going to be done in the near future. I'd like to know how I would upgrade the JLPT2 deck to JLPT1. I want to maintain the metadata of the first deck, but I'm not sure how to go about it.

I've tried merging the JLPT1 and JLPT2 decks, but that resulted in tons of duplicates that I would need to manually delete.

Is there any other way to go about this? Perhaps a JLPT1 deck with only new kanji that aren't in the JLPT2 deck that I can use to merge?

How do other people make the switch?

I can think of two ways:

- Find a JLPT1 deck where the JLPT2 words/kanji are tagged and delete all the kanji/words with JLPT2 tag (or non-JLPT1 tags). Then import your JLPT2 deck in the other deck (or the other way around whatever you like).
- Wield out the duplicates automatically using the Jxplugin (well that was one thing I used to do, but that plugin causes errors in my Anki now. But maybe it works for you or there is another plugin doing the same thing)

Hmm, I don't see a deck with JLPT2 kanji specifically tagged and I'm not sure how to work the addon (it's not crashing, though).

I did find a JLPT1 only deck, but it's kind of different from the current set. I'd like stick to the same family of decks if possible, but it's a viable method, I suppose.
