http://www.jbox.com has allot of interesting stuff (for me) and I would like to order from them..but from the reviews I heard about the site is that often allot goes wrong and you end up losing your money or something .

How much of that is true?
and how safe is Jbox?

I bought Nichijou vol. 1 from J-list a couple months ago. I got the cheapest shipping and it came within 2 months. Wasn't so bad, but the shipping prices can get crazy if you don't want to wait a long time for your item. I try to search on other sites for cheaper/faster alternatives before turning to them.

As far as safety, I haven't seen anything wrong as far as I know. I've only bought like three items there though.

You might also consider googling "Japan deputy service." A lot of these got their start by handling Yahoo Auction stuff, but many of them will now do stuff from other retail sites as well or accept special orders if need be.

I ordered from them a couple of years ago and my experience was horrible. Part of my order was supposed to be shipping from San Diego and the other from Japan. For my order one of the items coming from Japan (Hirano Aya calendar) needed to be restocked so it was delayed. For some strange reason they decided to delay the SD shipment as well (makes no sense). I placed the order in the beginning of December and up until mid-January I've heard nothing and the order status still said it was waiting on the last item. I filled out a support ticket asking to just cancel the calendar and the next day like magic I get a shipping notification and a reply saying it's too late to cancel. So long story short: they basically forgot about my my order. After that I decided to just stick to Japanese retailers in Japan that ship overseas.

I see but did you order recently? or was it a long time ago?

Cause I noticed most complaints came after 2009/2010.

It was December '09 so they could very well be much better these days.

I've spent a total of 943 dollars on jlist.com over six orders from Mar. 18th 2009 till Jan. 11th 2012 and I've never experienced any kind of trouble. Maybe I'm lucky? Maybe they give special treatment to Swedish people, I don't know. But I have no fear at throwing my money at that site.
