Assimil Volume 1 (Anki) - Miekzor - 2011-12-28

TL;DR - Assimil Volume 1 deck on Anki. Please use it if you want to.

If anybody is using Assimil Japanese with Ease and would like to make reviewing a little easier, i've made an Anki deck out of volume one. If you don't use Assimil, it would still make a pretty handy sentence deck (contains 945 sentences/cards with some duplicates).

It's called "Assimil Japanese with Ease Volume 1 Review Deck" and can be downloaded through Anki. This is the deck description:

This is a deck containing all lessons and exercises from Assimil Japanese with Ease Vol. 1.

If you do not know hiragana and katakana, you will have difficulty using this deck effectively.

This deck is not intended to replace the book, and does NOT include the following: chapter titles/page numbers (seriously, you actually do learn from these), accompanying spoken audio tracks, romaji/English phonetic reading guides, Revision and Notes chapters, recurring grammar notes, hiragana/katakana tables, or the included vocabulary list.

If you want these things, go buy the book, it's not that expensive, and you'll learn a lot easier from the book than from this.

Each item from each lesson/exercise is on an individual card and the cards are arranged and tagged according to lesson/exercise.

Facts from lesson conversations are presented as close to the form used in the original text as possible, with a background-colored kana guide on the front of the card to help with readings. The back of the card contains the kana reading, English sentence, word-by-word translation and notes to facilitate understanding.

Cards tagged Exercise1, from Exercise 1 of their respective lesson, are simply J->E comprehension.

Cards tagged Exercise2 are Clozed with prompts in English to produce the missing part of a sentence/phrase in Japanese.

All cards are light grey font on dark grey background, and clozed items are in pale blue. I have found this combination of colors to be easy to read on monitors as well as smartphones.

The Japanese text should be free of errors, but I apologize if i've missed any. There may be some typographical errors in the English text, but as you're reading this in English, you will probably get the idea.

First of all, sorry for necroposting.

I'm interested in this, but I can't figure out how to add a lesson a day. Anki decides to add 20 cards a day, and it seems like I can tamper with this number, but how do you choose to add only cards tagged as belonging to a given lesson?

Add all of the cards and suspend them, then unsuspend according to their lesson numbers is what I would do.

Does this deck still exist? I couldn't find it on Anki's Japanese page: https://ankiweb.net/shared/decks/japanese

I reinforce the necro-post. Can our dark circle summon this deck from the pits of hell?

RE: Assimil Volume 1 (Anki) - nightbreak - 2015-12-16

i have a deck on my desktop that seems to match.

If i follow the "shared deck page" i end up on an invalid link:

I can export it to .apkg file though.

Unsure how to share it though.
