Look at the title bar on anki T_T. Don't ever stop doing your anki reps, kids. *Cries some more T_T*

Anyone one ever been in this situation before... I want to finish them all but there's no way I have enough time this Christmas holiday to finish them.. I suppose I could just do a set amount a day and eventually I would finish them. I want to add some new cards though >.<

Suspend all the due cards so at least you won't be discouraged to the point of not reviewing, otherwise that stack will keep building. Then set a target of how many you're going to clear a day and unsuspend them. Variants include screwing with the order the cards come up (oldest first), and then just reseting the due pile once you're down to cards that you learned recently and have completely forgotten. I tend to do that if i added a whole bunch of cards right before stopping reviewing, they're essentially new cards still.

Are all the cards necessary and valuable? You could rethink your priorities and delete like a motherfucker!

Aha, that sounds like a brilliant idea =D I think I will have to do something like that. If I can reliably do a certain amount each day, then eventually I should finish them. Reseting the cards that I have done recently sounds like a good idea to. They might as well be new after that much time.

Now I just need to find enough time / motivation to finish them >.<

That's less that I've had now and then. I just ignore the due number and study as much as time and interest permits. After getting behind a few times, it's not a big deal.

Even if you were to take it head on and try to clear as many as you can in an hour each day, you should be able to clear the pile in about 2 weeks.

nice card... stumped as to what that means. could I get a rough translation...?

i feel like it says something like:
"Togura says to me 'What the hell are you doing?' with a foreign accent, and then like a newly married woman starts making like we should do the nasty..."

or something to that effect, but I could be completely off. I feel like I understand all the words there (except カイガイしい)and all the grammar points, yet still dont understand.

*understanding that this isn't really the right thread for such a question...

I had 3.8k due cards (didn't do much when in Japan) but now I'm around 1.8k and get around 100 reviews each day. Here is what I do:

Switch the order to longest interval first (cards you're supposed to know best), this way most problematic cards won't pile up quickly and you can focus on them later (learning rather than reviewing). Each day go 100 cards further ie. yesterday I finished at 1800, so today I'll stop at 1700.

Remember, SRS is about consistency so be patient and slowly work your way out of this.

ドクロちゃんが僕に(やり方はどうあれ)かいがいしく、まるで新妻のように僕にお世話しようとしているのです。

I'm terrible at actually translating things, but I'll give it a go,
Dokuro (in whichever way) excitedly / in a very animated way, much like a new wife, is trying to take care / look after me.

If I remember rightly there was something Dokuro wanted so she was trying to get into his good books I think.

Yeah, I think that's the way to go with this. I've never had this many cards due, but I neglected my deck for the most part of two months since I had tons of university work to do >.< I need to learn how to organize my time better.
