I put on Slayer, and I can't concentrate on anything because I'm too busy doing a seated version of head-banging and drumming my fingers on the table in time to the music. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds is another band that if I hear them, I can't concentrate on anything else. That article you posted looks really interesting. Sounds interesting.there's a free android app called "binaural beats". there is an adjustable background noise fuzz sound, so you can block out the noise around you. i have been using the 'study and learning' track which is 2 hours long when doing reviews. at work i use the 'highest mental activity'/caffeine boost track which is 14 minute. psychosomatic or not, it helps me stop trying to subvert work and find ways to passively study japanese and actually get some things done on the job so i have more time to actively learn.
