How do you say? - LorenzRas - 2011-11-17

Situation: There are two English translated versions of a document. The other one is made by a Japanese engineer from main branch, and the other one is X. Both are not so neat, the Japanese engineer made confusing english translations but used correct engineering terms, while X didn't.

The superior asked X to compare the documents, once done, X want to tell him, " I wrote a new document and referred to the japanese engineer' translation for technical terms."

My Japanese is just 1 year old next month, so it's not yet even good, it's baad....but here's my take.

X is holding the documents: 書き直しました。専門的なことをこの本社の翻訳で参考しました。

I know there is a correct/more natural way of saying it. Anyone?
