ebwin pocket dictionnary upload through Itunes ? - ghinzdra - 2011-11-14 I'm heavily using my Itouch lately to read manga and stuff as I'm always on the go. I was a big fan of EBwin so I naturally bought the Ebwin pocket pro app to transfer my epwing dictionaries on itouch. Although I blindly followed the instructions about the Itunes sharing protocol (http://hishida.s271.xrea.com/manual/EBPocket_iPhone/ : click 辞書の準備 on the left sidebar , then on the bottom of the page iTunesのファイル共有 ) I'm completely unable to upload anything. ただし、iTunesのファイル共有では、ファイル単位でのファイル転送しかできません。 MacOSXの場合、フォルダ名に.pkgの拡張子を付けてパッケージ化すると、フォルダ単位で転送できるようになります(Windows版iTunesではできないようです)。 PC上で、転送したいEPWING辞書を含む上位のフォルダ名に .pkg の拡張子を追加してください。これでパッケージ化されます。 Renaming the parent folder by adding a pkg extension doesn't seem to have any effect as it's still a folder and Itunes won't recognize anything but individual files( first line warning). First paragraph seems to indicate that only the MacOSX users can transfer a folder just by adding the .pkg extension but then the next paragraph seems to contradict this as they clearly say "PC上で". My best guess is that for PC users you have to archive your folder through a pkg software but I know s... about mac. Do any of you guys use ebwin pocket on an apple device? Otherwise do you have any "epwing dictionnary friendly" app in mind? ebwin pocket dictionnary upload through Itunes ? - Thora - 2011-11-14 I transferred the dictionary files using FTP. There are instructions somewhere on his page. Sorry, don't have time to look right now. It's pretty straightforward (I'm not very computer savvy.) I use filezilla, but I imagine any of them would work. ebwin pocket dictionnary upload through Itunes ? - dzurn - 2011-11-14 Personally I love the Kotoba! app that I downloaded for my iPod Touch. It's basically a self-contained JMDict (Jim Breen) with lots of extras, like stroke-order animations, lists of JLPT and Jouyou Kanji, even lists of what kanji are learned in what grades. You get complete conjugation of verbs and adjectives (the Polite Negative Past Presumptive of 寒い(さむい) is 寒くなかったでしょう, "samukunakattadeshou", which I didn't know) There's tons of example sentences, vocabulary, kanji details including Heisig frame #s, save favorites, etc. And no internet or WiFi access is needed once it's downloaded since the dictionary is baked in. The BEST Feature: it's FREE (but donations of course appreciated) http://kotoba.pierrephi.net/ Just my 2¢ as a happy user. ebwin pocket dictionnary upload through Itunes ? - napurenon - 2011-11-15 ghinzdra Wrote:Do any of you guys use ebwin pocket on an apple device? Otherwise do you have any "epwing dictionnary friendly" app in mind?I used to use this app all the time on my Ipod touch, until I switched to Android. I used to transfer the epwing dictionaries to it via Itunes file transfer. I used to click on the apps tab, scroll to bottom, click on app, drag the folder containing dict files from the desktop on to the file list in itunes, then Itunes transfered the whole folder to Ebpocket. I didn't have to rename anything to pkg or anything. Not sure if this is any help to you. ebwin pocket dictionnary upload through Itunes ? - usis35 - 2013-01-13 I uploaded kenkyusha to EBPocket in my Ipod, using Filezilla. But it doesn't see it. The directory is: /EBPocket /[EPWING]Kenkyusha 5th Any suggestion? |
