Instead of opening up another topic, I decided to resurrect this one, to share the following website with all of you. You can find all sorts of work related topics, of which I found this one “顔を使い分ける”とは？ very interesting.
I think everyone can learn something from this website, not only those who are working in/for a Japanese company. For instance, I have learned from one of my textbooks that in case you met a person in the morning, and you meet that person again in the afternoon, you are expected to say nothing, to nod and/or bow slightly. Until I found this website, I thought that this is only a problem for non-natives, because they are not aware that this is customary in Japan. But it seems that even Japanese have difficulty with it. 挨拶は人間関係の基本中の基本
From reading the various articles I came to the conclusion that Japanese workers, bosses, and managers it must be hellishly difficult, to avoid breaking any of the written and unwritten rules that exist inside a company ... And I don't even want to imagine how it must be for foreigners working for a company in Japan who are totally unaware of all this.
I think everyone can find an interesting article, so I wish you fun, and I hope you can learn something from it. And before I forget it
