I am feeling stupid.. a beginner. - Thaiexpat - 2011-10-19

Greetings:
This website is a Godsend, but I am having trouble working out how to use the study, review and SRS system. At the present when I log in my progress chart says that I have completed the first three lessons but have not yet started Lesson 4. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to start lesson 4. There does not seem to be an instruction manual or FAQ showing you exactly what to do. Any help is appreciated. I am currently on the first 279 characters in Heisig Vol 1.
As a matter of personal info I am retired in Thailand. I studied Chinese 3 years at Berkeley in the 60s an did an incomplete MA in Japanese at the University of Washington in the early 70s then went to Japan for a year. Now I am back, retired, and ready for some serious business in Japanese. To those who think they will become fluent quickly in this language, think again. I have been working with this language off an on since 1968 and still feel like I am scratching the surface. I would really appreciate any help on the system here on the reviews though.
Thank You

When you want to add new cards, you can click on the "Manage" tab of the main site. This will give you a field where you can enter how many frames you are up to. Then the new kanji will be added to your reviews.

Good luck Thaiexpat and welcome to RTK!
