The relevant bit is 'Roughly the same as うるさい'.
It's the adjective for 'noisy', and is used as in interjection to mean 'be quiet'. The rough-speaking corruptions, then, tend to be translated as rougher language for an order to 'be quiet'.
(Actually, 「うるさい」 as an interjection is plenty rough enough to be 'shut up' all by itself. Totally unrelated phrases are used to actually ask someone to be quiet.)
