I'd be interested in hearing more about the reading experiences of those who have already read a lot of novels. Maybe there is already a thread about this and someone can point me to it.

I'm currently reading my 5th novel and am curious what to expect further down the road.

Did reading become really effortless at some point? How many novels did you read until that happened?

I'm also interested in hearing about reading speed. For example if your reading speed ever reached levels similar to your native language and when that happened.

If I'm understanding correctly - neither of the sites mentioned let you input how many pages you read in a day? That's the sort of useless-but-somehow-motivating statistics I could do with to keep me reading regularly.

Neither allow you to input your pages read for a day, but 読書メーター does track the pages read from the completed volumes you add and give you a daily average pages read figure.

Edit: Should've checked the dates. Orz

Well, whatever, it's a nice thread to bump up. And I never did post mine here: http://book.akahoshitakuya.com/u/339621
Turned out to be motivating enough.
