And they all just happen to be very different levels. Mishima's essay and 対話 compilation was of course beyond my level so it took quite a while to read, the Greek mythology one was the perfect level for me and the 自由研究　one is pretty easy but good for learning new nouns (for example, the ingredients used in experiments) and for exposing yourself to the way step-by-step experiments are explained. I highly recommend these two (and not the Mishima one, unless you're at a really advanced level or you want a serious challenge).

I started キノの旅 as it has a lot of recommendations but I couldn't really get into it Sad Is there a long term plot at all or is just a lot of short stories?

I guess 旅 says already everything. Kino travels with her motorbike into different "worlds"/villages etc. and gets to know people and their problems, habits and so on. Suppose you'll not find any long-term plot in this series.

Been a while since I last tried reading a Mishima book and I'm pleased to find that its much easier now. Don't even need a dictionary (although thankfully they have the furigana for some of his stranger kanji choices).

Hopefully it won't take me years to finish.

"I have the right to destroy myself" by Kim Yeong Ha, my first Korean book (if you don't count "Theories of the Juche Revolution" which I could not stand to read for more than a few pages anyway because it is unbelievably boring). Reminds me of when I read my first book in Japanese.. aah, good times!

Basszus, ne legyél már hülye! Tudom, hogy depressziós vagy, írtál róla már hónapokkal ezelőtt. De akkor se ilyen megoldásokon agyalj. Menj el orvoshoz! Légy szíves! I like how it changes between the point of view of both Kusanagi and Ishigami.
Also, it seems it's one of 東野圭吾's most popular works. (I'm not very knowledgeable about Japanese authors though xD)

I really should have started reading this a long time ago since I could have been applying what I learn from it at work all this time (I've had this book for a year). It's really interesting how the simplest of things can have a positive effect on a child's brain. For example, something as simple as looking back at them whenever they look at you is supposed to be beneficial...? :O

It's also been made into both a film and drama. I thought the film was very good, and it's one of the few Japanese films I would actually recommend. I've heard the drama is even better, but I was never able to find it.
