I'm not a spambot or anything. If I can't post this here just let me know!

I'm broke right now, so I tried joining this site. You can see my ad here:

I'm sure all of you already know what Anki is. Pretty much I'll make you a custom Anki deck about anything for $5.

Again, let me know if I can't promote myself here. I'm just hoping to find someone interested.

So, how much are we talking about for the contents of a deck? For instance, I might pay $5 to have a whole volume of the Deadman Wonderland manga made into a wordlist, but I definitely wouldn't pay that much for a single chapter.

I guess it depends on how many words there are. What exactly are you thinking? Like all the words in that manga with their meaning in English? Or actual sentences from the manga?

Actually, would I legally be able to do that? Sell an Anki deck with sentences from a manga? o_O

Just the words with English meanings. You could even skip the easiest words, and every kana-only word, even loan words. (I realized that 'easy' is a slippery term, though... I've been trying to define it, but can't really. Maybe... JLPT N5 words, and the easy half of the N4 words? I dunno.)

I intend to use it as a study aid before I read the next volume. I'm happy to pay the $5 by PayPal as soon as I receive the list, and then review it for accuracy as I read before I ask for another.

It doesn't even need to be an Anki deck. A 2-column CSV is fine. If it's easy to put the pronunciation in, too, a third column would be really nice. (No romaji.)

Probably not, depending on where you and the buyer live.

Are there any websites that list all the words for each level? What's easy for you is probably still hard for me right now.. Btw, how many chapters does the volume you want have?

Both would be really easy for me. Would something like this work?
column 1: 水 col2: みず col3: water (noun)

I'm guessing we're both from the US, and I still wouldn't be able to do that? That would be really cool I think..

There probably are. If you leave off the easy ones for you, that would be fine though.

Each volume so far has had 4 chapters. Vol 7 has about 200 pages.

That's fine... I'd probably leave '(noun)' off the end, though.

The problem is not even the sale, it's the distribution. The US has auto-copyright laws that would forbid it.

You can't forbid word lists, though, as they are just facts and not a creative work. At least, not in the US.

That's too bad. Sad

Btw, I PM'ed you. I think it goes to your actual email though.

Do you mean Japanese and English? and the language depends on what you're studying.. Like I said on that other site, I've used Anki to study a restaurant menu.. ^_^;;

I think he means do you restrict to making decks with a Japanese word in the question, and the English meaning in the answer, or if you also do decks with a Japanese word and a the definition in Japanese in the answer side.

In general, I could do whatever language the person wants it in. It really depends on what they're trying to study. If they can send me everything then I can do any language, but if it's something like a word list, unless I'm translating into English, the definitions might not be 100% accurate.. Does that make sense?
