my destination partition is NTFS, my source partition is not really a mount (you cant see it through df -k), but it is in the .gvfs folder in my home folder (because its a bookmark from gnome)

This implies they haven't gotten around to implementing a function yet. Function in this context is literally a C function. Function as in functionality would be 機能.
