Listening method for vocab - mizunooto - 2011-06-21 This is new to me - it may be old to you. Maybe it will be of some help to someone. I listen to Japanese podcasts through iTunes (could be anything of course) and when I can recognise the sound of a word - when I can hear how it is spelled - I look it up in Denshi Jisho (could be any dictionary of course). Then if I have got the spelling right I enter it into Anki which I have open on the same screen. Any other similar words I like, they go in too. Sometimes the word does not exist (listening still improving)~ I don't know how this would work at the very early stage when it all seems incomprehensible. Probably you could still pick up some simple words? I have read recently that some people have been having problems with listening. I wonder if it's of any help. That's all for now! |
