I'd pay good money for an anki deck from the kanji in context workbooks if someone manages to get audio on it.

I think you could get away with it as long as someone owned the source material because technically you're only charging for labor. You couldn't sell the deck to someone who didn't own the book/movie etc. But if making a deck for your own private use is acceptable, shouldn't charging for the time and effort spent to make the deck be fine too?

So make a website where you can sell decks that you have made to people that can provide sufficient proof that they own the book in question. You could even set up links from Amazon to the books on the site where you could make additional profit from. If the decks are good enough, I'm sure people would pay. Show sample cards as well.

I thought the point of making decks was mining sentences / vocab you have encountered in your studies that is relevant to you rather than somewhat random stuff from a context you can't relate in more than one way, but I hope that works for you.
