Looking for Resources - Nagareboshi - 2011-06-22
I'm sure some of you know this website. http://www.nikkoku.net/tomonokai/toukou_list.html They have some great examples, or explanations, just what i was looking for. If it were more accessible, with a direct search function for words, it would really be a great website. Since it is tedious to click through all the kana entries, to eventually find, what i was looking for. My question now is, is there any way to quickly access their 用例 cards? Any google search term, or something of that nature, where i just input アートマン and it shows me the card? Or is there a search function there, and i haven't found it yet? Maybe there is a complete set out there, that i could just download, does anyone know?
Also i'm looking for similar, and if possible free, resources that give explanations for words. Since i plan on going J->J with my review cards, looking for easy examples, something like the above website would really help. I'm not looking for example sentences, mind you, anything else is more than welcome.

On that website it didn't seem like there was a way to just search for a particular word but maybe I missed it.

jettyke, it is true that it is not exactly what i was looking for, but it will do. Can't have enough resources.
pudding cat, no i don't look for 辞書. The missing search function was something i have been looking up and down for on this website ... All this website provides, is the kana to click on, and than browse the list of some several thousand entries. I have even gone so far as to register on this website, when i found it, thinking i could than access a more comfortable search function. Now all i can do is add my own entries, very useful, indeed with my lack of necessary Japanese skills. *LOL*
I've been trying to code my own search engine, but I'm a little rusty these days, when it comes to web coding. But i will eventually be able to create something simple, that allows a look up for words directly, instead of clicking my mouse to death ...

I had a further look and I think the problem is they started off small and then never implemented a proper search function to accommodate the growing number of cards.
これまでは一文字のみの指定でしたが、投稿データが3万件を越えたため、さらに使いやすく2文字目までを検索対象といたしました。
So they introduced the two character search when they got over 30,000 cards but they now have over 80,000...
You might have to email them and ask if they ever plan to add a search function.

Don't know if I got your question right but I think you might try to "search" for certain words you're interested in this way with google: (example: 中外)
