Grunnraw (Caption) Hiatus - Daichi - 2011-05-05
If anyone gets their captions from Grunnraw, inside info is that there is going to be a Hiatus soon, till the end of August.
No other group provides the caption resources that they do. The only other group right now that does capped .ts files from Share/PD is Epic-Raws. And they pretty much just laughed at me when I asked if they could provide captions from their files.
So anyway, would anyone be willing to help fill in the caption gaps till they get back running in September? If we split up our resources we can save each other a bit on bandwidth.
Just going by what Grunnraw has in their file directory, at least these shows airing right now have captions on at least one station they air on:

Sure, as long as there are raw ts torrents I can do a few. I'm watching A Channel and Ao no Excorcist at the moment so I can do those.
Where are we gonna upload them to? Also what was that program that rips subs from ts files... I think I've lost it >.<

Caption2Ass mod is probably the program you want. I figure we can just be uploading these to kitsunekko. If people want to go the extra mile, you can use Aegisub to time these to a specific fansub release, but that isn't really necessary. (I usually go in and at least put comments to note where the commercial breaks are.)

Ah, kitsunekko, of course. Yup, Caption2Ass mod rings a bell, I should be able to find that somewhere.
I'll probably take out the CMs, my computer lags when trying to play those super high definition ts files anyway.

All of the Suite Precure ones, I put those there. They are timed to the fansub release.
I have a raw subtitles for #11. I'll get it up shortly.

The good news it it seems like someone convinced Epic-Raws to provide their own caption archive.
There might be some episodes missing in the switch over, like C 5 but it mostly seems all good.

@Daichi: Don't worry about the raws. I unfortunately can't use Share/PD/utatane here as P2P is blocked, but since there is still the good scene :>
Get an IRC client and connect to the (best) network, namely Rizon.NET. Most bigger anime fansub groups are located there including their ultra fast (1.3mb/s +) speeded xdcc bots providing raws and fansubs. I'm in chans like
