Kanken to incorporate Joyo Kanji changes - JimmySeal - 2011-05-05
This news is half a year old, but I haven't seen it mentioned here and was curious about it.

Beginning in 2012, some of the testing standards will be altered to take the new Joyo Kanji changes into account. No mention yet on which levels will be affected and how, but there should be more information around August of this year.
