With Zen Brush. Undecided if it's worth buying seeing as there is no pressure sensitivity... but hey here's a Japanese person having at it

In the video it seem to work pretty well. Honestly I wouldn't have expected that. I always had the idea that resistive was better for handwriting. I knew there are special stylus you can use on capacitive screen though.
As you said there should not be any pressure sensitivity... probably the the screen knows quite precisely how large the area pressed is, which could help give the right felling when writing... ?? I am really not sure there.
I know resistive screen can have some pressure sensitivity... although it's usually pretty limited (like 4 levels...) and not often used.

Regarding pressure sensitivity, there are pens sold for iPad the emulates pressure with a large foam-like tip. As you press harder, the area covered is larger. This is only an emulation and nowhere near as precise as a Wacom tablet.
That said finger drawing apps for me are relatively useless...
If I drink just one coffee the very tip of my fingers is like 0.1 % moist, like you wouldn't even notice it if I shake your hands, but it's enough to screw all dragging gestures on the iPad's glass surface. Very annoying. Hopefully I'll find some sort of screen protector that has a different friction.
