Fonts for handwriting? - Tykkylumi - 2012-07-05 I've looked through the forums and couldn't find what I wanted, most of the external links were dead. I am looking for a font I can use whilst reviewing that shows me an average way of how the word/sentence would look handwritten in Japanese. Does anyone know of any decent font I can use to do this? Thanks! EDIT: and whilst I'm here, I may as well ask... is there a way to show the same field in anki twice using two different fonts? So I could have a printed font next to a handwritten font, for example. Fonts for handwriting? - frony0 - 2012-07-05 1) The KanjiStrokeOrders font uses handwriting style, and at lower font sizes the stroke numbers aren't displayed. Otherwise perhaps try googling ![]() 2) You can use HTML to change the font of a section of text. E.g. 「<span style="font-family:Monospace;">{{{Kanji}}}</span>」 in place of just {{Kanji}} Fonts for handwriting? - Inny Jan - 2012-07-05 Take a look at http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Japanese.html I like and use fonts from Epson (EPSON 教科書体M, EPSON 正楷書体M). Have got that font already, but thank you anyway! ![]() The HTML thing is very helpful, I tried changing it with HTML myself but couldn't get it to work for some reason, haha. Inny Jan: Great link, thanks! I like the look of the Epson fonts too. Fonts for handwriting? - Bokusenou - 2012-07-05 I use ほにゃ字 though most of the fonts here should work. Fonts for handwriting? - Tykkylumi - 2012-07-05 Thanks! frony0: Have just tried the HTML, it doesn't change it D: it just displays it in the default font :/ (and also shows the extra curly brackets) Fonts for handwriting? - frony0 - 2012-07-05 That's odd :I I'm not sure why it would do that, I almost literally copied and pasted that from my deck. Try changing it to {{{Kanji }}}, note the extra space. Otherwise if nobody else here has any ideas, search or ask on the Anki forum at http://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/ankisrs Fonts for handwriting? - Tykkylumi - 2012-07-05 I sorted it! I had to put the kanji with the different font at the top though, for some reason. It won't have it any other way. Not too big a deal but as long as it works I have no need to mess with it. Thanks for all the help
