well, i guess nobody here cares, but all the major poker sites have been shut down by the fbi tonight...

with those kinds of charges, somehow i doubt those sites are going to be able to continue even where they're legal now.

2日前に偶然ですべてキャッシュアウトしました。Thank f***!!! lol.

it's gonna be strange without those sites around though... there's rumours they'll be all down outside the US in the next 48 hours, and nobody can cash out right now...

i'd learn but frankly i can't be bothered to waste any more of my life Wink.

it was profitable while it lasted, & i got to see some of the world :D can't complain...

最後のもうけは本を買って行きましょう。 :D:D:D

all's well that ends well, eh...

i don't know what those sites were thinking though, honestly. the biggest sites in the world, making god knows how much each year want to money launder...?

:/ obv.

Why not go legit and move to Vegas. The casinos comp your rooms, meals, drinks, everything. Being a woman will work to your advantage as the men won't take you seriously. I worked as a card-counter and sports better for a year in the 90s. An interesting life of cat and mouse in an age before casino technology made it easy to catch you, yet following the age where the casinos would take you out into the desert and fertilize the cacti with you.

nice!!! i woulda enjoyed being around in those times...

having a full understanding of the amounts of hands you need to withstand variance, plus an absolute inability to stop grinning like a cheshire cat whenever i know i'm winning, live poker has never been a good option for me.

Anyway, i gave up playing seriously a while ago... 2005-2007 were my years. It's a really meaningless, boring existence.

今年、大学の資金まで遊んでると思ったけど、しょうがないよね。。。こんどこそMEXTお願いします!!!

eek are all going down? ladbrokes, VC, 888 etc?

made good money from casino bonuses a while back and was thinking of trying the poker ones..

nah, the european ones are ok...

it's stars, fulltilt, and ub (not that you'd wanna play ub anyway).

the ones that haven't been allowing americans to play are still ok... it's a shame that none of them have even close to as good software that stars and tilt have.

and none of the traffic either...

I'm in EU and still pondering about making a withdrawal from FT. It can't be that bad? Wink

Update: Since its so easy to get in and out I decided to withdraw most of my cash but leave some scraps just for fun. I can always get back.

hmmm... if you have anything substantial on there, i would cash out until the dust settles and we know whether the companies will really survive this. (if you even can)

if not and you don't care so much, it might be worth playing right now... good blind structures + smaller fields to beat in tournaments, at least.

what are they gonna do about the FTOPS guarantees!? If they don't change, there'll be some huge overlays...

i dunno, banks outside the USA are also implemented, and the FBI have freezed who knows how much of their money. i don't trust the US government not to take them for everything they're worth if they can, and i don't know that i trust FT to tell the truth about how much of the remaining players money is safe. It's certainly in their interests for people to keep playing at the moment, so that's exactly what they would say.

It might all turn out to be another party poker and nothing more. But at the least, internet poker as we knew it is gone for the foreseeable future.

ugh russian players. ><
