Art Portfolios - gyuujuice - 2011-04-15 After reading the discussion on learning to draw I wanted to see some of you guy's work! So this is simply a thread to show pieces/doodles/sketches. (Sculpting and crafts are just as welcome!) I'll start: DeviantArt: http://gyuujuice.deviantart.com/ Newest Piece: http://gyazo.com/c320a58987c49311f67bb370ce972a2a.png Art Portfolios - ファブリス - 2011-04-20 Here's a few self portraits (mostly) I did between 2002-2005, with Corel Painter, except one with ArtRage (see picture captions). I was back from UK, depressed, and trying to find out what to do next with my life. I spent a lot of time on conceptart.org and sijun. The self-portraits were participation in the self portrait thread at conceptart.org. There was one insanely talented concept artist there working in the gaming industry. He was posting a SP every day, and encouraging everyone. They usually took between 2-3h, drawing from life with a mirror next to the monitor. It was explicitly encouraged in the forum to use a mirror instead of copying photos. It's definitely harder to judge dimensions, shapes and colour. I was also doing colorings (another fun thread in conceptarg.org where people randomly post a drawing, or post a colouring of someone else's drawing). http://min.us/mvfUdAJ I was definitely getting better but always was frustrated that I couldn't do "artsy" stuff. Have loads more but I'd have to dig up the backups from somewhere... if I didn't lose them. >_< Art Portfolios - liosama - 2011-04-20 *up vote* Art Portfolios - mizunooto - 2011-04-20 "like" |
