Replacement of a field in Anki - Tori-kun - 2011-03-27 Hey folks, I came across the useful RtK1 and 3 deck by Nukemarine online and wanted to replace the field 'keyword'. I have found another RTK deck containing the German keywords, I learnt, and know i want to sort of exchange the english once filled in the fields with the german once. Does anyone know how to do so in Anki (winxp)? Thanks in advance! Edit Could somebody replace the english keywords and replace them with german once please? I'm quite deperate to get it working but following the guide available on the net, nothing happens and the keywords just wouldn't change! Replacement of a field in Anki - nest0r - 2011-03-27 Use the ‘Update’ button in the Import dialogue in Anki. Replacement of a field in Anki - Tori-kun - 2011-03-28 I tried this, nest0r. Doesn't work. Basically nothing happens~ Replacement of a field in Anki - Ryuujin27 - 2011-03-28 Worse comes to worse, couldn't you just manually edit each one? Might be a good practice exercise anyway. Replacement of a field in Anki - nest0r - 2011-03-28 Okay, got it. There's probably a better way, but: Take the RTK 1/3 deck and in the Layout area (Settings→Deck Properties→Edit→Card Layout→Fields tab, or F2/Card Layout button when a card is open) move the Keyword field up so that it's just below Heisig Number. File→Import→http://paste2.org/p/1330565 (Use this as your tab-separated import .txt)→Update→Field 1 is Heisig Number. Voila! Alternately if you want to keep the English keywords, create a new German field and move that up instead, making sure to add it to the Card Template tab in double curly braces. Edit: Looks like the first kanji card has some formatting in the Heisig Number field where just ‘1’ should be so it won't get replaced w/ ‘eins’. Or just remove those block thingies in the field before importing. (I searched and it seems it's the only card like that.) Also, the original RTKde deck only has 3002 cards, it's missing keywords for frames: 1512, 1552, 1553, 1606, 1641.
