Kanji losing their meaning? - yukamina - 2011-02-18 As I'm drilling vocab over at readthekanji.com, I'm noticing more and more that I'm identifying kanji by reading over shape or meaning. I just had 収穫 follow the word 比較, and I had a moment of "huh, didn't I just do this...?" I look again, and they are completely different. The only thing in common is that the second character is read カク in both words. It's like I'm just looking past the kanji and seeing the reading behind it >_> Anybody else experience something like this? Kanji losing their meaning? - bertoni - 2011-02-19 That's normal.
