cabbage primitive - vinniram - 2011-01-11 I thought the cabbage primitive is flower+mouth+grow up, as in 勤, for example. So what is the primitive in 僅? Is it cabbage, or is it something else? Because "flower" has been replaced by "twenty" primitive. Thanks for any help. (Actually, I've just noticed that the type version of 勤 seems to use the "twenty" primitive rather than the "flower" primitive, which Heisig prescribes. I'm very confused now -.-) cabbage primitive - mtrauts - 2011-01-11 Yes, it should be flower. The kanji shows up correctly on my iPhone but I also see the twenty primitive on my desktop pc. I think the pc currently only has Chinese fonts installed, so that may also be what is causing you problems. cabbage primitive - PATRICKRL - 2011-01-11 In Japanese, flower. In other variants, twenty. cabbage primitive - vinniram - 2011-01-11 ah right, thanks for the help. I'll try fishing around for some Japanese fonts now. |
