Where can I buy exercise equipment in Japan? - Dairwolf - 2011-01-06 I want to buy a stair stepper and maybe dumbbells, but I haven´t yet found a store where I can get those things. I live in Chiba (Inage) now, maybe somebody knows a store that is near this place? I would be thankful for Tips in Tokyo, too. And does somebody know where I can buy earplugs? Seriously though, buy a good book on how to train by yourself using equipment available in every home (+dumbbells) and try doing that. When trying to get in shape your biggest enemy is you and not lack of equipment. If you want to do cardio exercises go to a pool or ride a bike more intensively (and try not to 食べ過ぎる afterwards). Chances are you can find them in a Hyaku-en as well. Can't help with the stair stepper, but you can make the kind of 'stairs' they use in gym classes by stacking up some textbooks you no longer use and gleefully jumping up and down on them
Where can I buy exercise equipment in Japan? - deebo - 2011-01-06 If you can get into central Tokyo, there are a whole bunch of sports shops between Jimbocho (神保町) and Awajicho (淡路町) stations in the Ochanomizu (御茶ノ水) area. You might try somewhere like Victoria Sports (although their website didn't seem very helpful). Where can I buy exercise equipment in Japan? - Okonomiyaki - 2011-01-08 I'd suggest Amazon. I got an exercise bike off of there for 1man and they let me do COD. You can't do COD for everything, but you can usually do conbini payments or furikomi or some other way that lets you avoid using a credit card. |
