That one is Japanese Devils and there are currently working DDL links if you search on Google.

Apparently Production IG's "Musashi: The Dream of the Last Samurai" is like a documentary, using anime scenes mixed with the style of computer animation used in the Mr. Brain dorama's exposition sequences.

Go to D-Addicts and look for a series called "Bi no Tsubo." It's not a documentary, per say, but it's a TV show where each episode covers different areas of Japan (Yokohama, etc.) and seems really relaxing. The synopsis the uploader provided in his post for Yashikirin:

"'Bi No Tsubo' is a series of NHK programs mostly on arts and crafts in Japan, presented in a comic and relaxing manner. Often footage from these programs later appears in NHK 'Japanology' broadcasts, but in the case of 'Bi No Tsubo,' the presentation is far more detailed and humorous. The Japanese is very easy to understand. Even JPLT level 2 should be sufficient, with a few dictionary look-ups. This particular broadcast features Yashikirin, the traditional tree windbreak seen around farm houses in rural Japan. Yashikirin are surprisingly functional and beautiful from many standpoints. History, art, and appreciation.

I cant say for certain but I can say that higher education in Japan is not what it is in the West. I dont imagine the law exam in Japan is nearly as bad as passing the bar back home. I cant speak for medical school though...

Since reforms were put into place in 2004, the passing rate of the Japanese bar exam has gone from about 3% to over 25% in 2010 and the Japanese government wants to increase this rate much further.

I stand corrected about the law exam. My opinion was based purely on conjecture, however I still stand by my assertion that higher education in Japan leaves a lot to be desired.
