Output and input? - nohika - 2010-12-21

So I have a question. I've FINALLY found a way to study kanji readings that works well for me...last year my dad got me the game なぞっておぼえる大人の漢字練習完全版 and I really like it. I've been copying down the vocab and inputting it into Anki. I practice practice practice in the game and only put the vocab in once I feel like I've gotten "down" what the reading is.

However, something hit me...I've been making production cards. Should I be making input cards too? Recognizing and being able to produce the reading of the word, instead of looking at the reading and producing the kanji?

Was just curious what everyone else thought. Haven't quite figured out how to study grammar yet - gonna continue what I was doing (Manga Way, AAP), and those are mostly recognition.

Anyways. =) Should I do recall and recognition? Or just keep doing production?
