Smoother ways to add Vocab to SRS? - Dairwolf - 2011-01-01 Right now my vocab searching chain is like this: seeing a new word in a text (which is like every second word since I am rather at a beginning level) -----> highlighting word with mouse -----> copy and paste into German online dictionary -----> adding to SRS. Is there any way I can skip one of those parts? I think I remember that I read something like that somewhere on this forum before. And is there maybe a way to highlight unknown words in texts except for copying it e.g. into word? Smoother ways to add Vocab to SRS? - nest0r - 2011-01-01 Highlight those that are 'unknown' by what criteria? I believe there are various types of level-checkers and suchlike out there in particular related to JLPT vocabulary lists, but I don't think we have anything specifically connected to Anki. Some way to do it would probably involve generating lists from exported Anki data, then feeding it into some Mecab-based program that highlights all terms not on the list. As for your first inquiry, search for Wrightak's Rikaichan plug-in, I think that's what you're thinking of. I'm not sure how it works with non-J/E dictionaries, though.
