buonaparte's audio and text links - buonaparte - 2015-08-21 OFF TOPIC: The only person I'm inspired by is Malala Yousafzai. Quote:Congrats Malala! The Nobel laureate scored straight As in O-Levelshttp://twitter.com/ZiauddinY/status/634640098630303744/photo/1 ![]() She knows three languagues: Pashto (native), Urdu (second language), English (foreign/school language). Class Dismissed: Malala’s Story http://www.nytimes.com/video/world/asia/100000001835296/class-dismissed-malala-yousafzais-story.html?playlistId=100000002500298 buonaparte's audio and text links - buonaparte - 2015-08-23 Uploaded some new stuff. RawToast, would you mind updating your mirror? buonaparte's audio and text links - buonaparte - 2015-08-26 I've decided to learn Pashto and Urdu and I've already gathered enough materials, so I won't have time to take care of this thread and the stuff my late sister (buonaparte) uploaded or prepared to upload and I haven't uploaded yet. The uploaded stuff is still there, but I don't know for how long. I won't delete anything myself, so if it disappears somebody else will have done it. Wish me good luck with Pashto and Urdu - I'm almost sure they will by my last 'new' languages. aYa EDIT A link to Malala Fund. http://www.malala.org/ buonaparte's audio and text links - Splatted - 2015-08-26 Good luck! I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that the contributions of you and your sister have been greatly appreciated so let me take this moment to thank you. I've actually just started learning Hindi and Urdu with this old BBC series (I have the book too). Walking past an Urdu book shop resulted in an impulse purchase of an Urdu Bol Chaal, which turned out to be terrible, and now I'm really interested in the language. Edit: Malala Yousafzai is hugely inspiring and it's great to see she did so well with her A levels. Even discounting all the obstacles she had to overcome it's an achievement to be proud of. buonaparte's audio and text links - yogert909 - 2015-08-26 ^ Agreed. Thank you so much for your contributions. I hope you'll stop by to say hi from time to time. buonaparte's audio and text links - kapalama - 2015-08-27 An excellent remebrance to your sister, this project is. Deepest gratitude. buonaparte's audio and text links - buonaparte - 2015-08-27 Splatted Wrote:Edit: Malala Yousafzai is hugely inspiringYes, she inspired me to learn Pashto and Urdu. I knew nothing about Pakistan, except that they once had Zia ul-Haq who was a nasty person, and now they have Malala who is a Christ-like persona. Much better than Christ in fact, because real. And even though she's religious (I'm not), her values are secular. I agree with almost everything she says. (I don't usually agree with anybody.) So, in the name of No god, the most humane, the most reasonable, Long live Malala! I hope no villain will kill her. As to the thread. I'm sorry I didn't upload more, but although I have a pretty fast connection, the upload speeds they accept are pretty low. RawToast again, would you mind updating your mirror? buonaparte's audio and text links - RawToast - 2015-08-27 Sorry, will do ![]() Currently running the update script on the mirror. buonaparte's audio and text links - buonaparte - 2015-08-27 RawToast, Some files are missing in your mirror, with French letters or apostrophe in the original file name: examples: !0 Japanese What’s to learn BEGIN HERE.doc (original) !0 Japanese Whats to learn BEGIN HERE.doc (mirror, not there) Devant des réfugiés syriens, Malala fustige le manque de moyens pour l'éducation 2015 07 14.mp4 (original) Devant des rfugis syriens, Malala fustige le manque de moyens pour l'ducation 2015 07 14.mp4 (mirror, not there) There are more. Giving it another try, with some other options. I think --restrict-file-names=nocontrol should do it, but we'll have to wait and see ![]() EDIT: Nope didn't work. Doing a test run with !0 Japanese What’s to learn BEGIN HERE.doc atmo. buonaparte's audio and text links - RawToast - 2015-08-27 Lame solution, but I have one -- delete all the index.html files xD Everything under the "! Malala" folder should work. It shouldn't be too difficult to change the wget command to ignore all index.html files. buonaparte's audio and text links - buonaparte - 2015-08-28 Uploaded some random stuff. No queer letters in the names of the files this time, ASCII only. Some learning materials for beginners, lower intermediate and advanced students (transcript in Japanese + audio + English). Some materials on Japan (history, culture) in English, Russian, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Two books in Japanese, one has something to do with Kafka, the other with Orwell, both written by the same Japanese author. Tomorrow I start all Pashto all the way any way at all, and then it will by all Urdu all the way any way at all, and then I will be writing a masterpiece on Malala. And then I will be dead. No doubt. But I might upload some stuff for language learners from time to time, just check the !UPDATES folder, if it is still there. And !UPDATES.txt if I'm not too lazy to describe what I'm uploading. So in the name of No god, the most humane, the most reasonable, it will be my last post. And here's http://www.malala.org/ Donate instead of having a beer or two. This acronym comes up on google with a lot of references to circuits, diagnostics, and league of legends but nothing to do with japanese movies.
