The way I do my cards is this: At first, I look at the keyword. There is two line breaks between the keyword and the story. I then try to figure out the kanji by remembering the story. If I can't, I look at the story and then try to figure out the kanji by it.

This is somewhat suboptimal as sometimes I end up seeing the story beforehand, which is not the end of the world but makes it harder for me to rate how secure I am with the kanji. Ideally, I'd like two backs (i.e. a two-step answer- tap once for the story, tap again for the kanji). I know that anki has the option to add more fields and format them however, which is handy but ultimately you are still limited to a front and a back. There's a plugin for two-step answers on the PC version, but that doesn't help me much since I review my kanji exclusively on my iPod.

How do you manage this? How are your cards structurized? Does anyone by any chance have a good solution/workaround?
