Exporting - pnewelljr - 2010-11-26 I am trying really hard to decide wether I should use Anki or this site for reviewing. I feel like once I decide that I can never go back. I am just starting the book. If I use the site (which I kind of want to do) and decide I would rather use anki later, what is it going to be like trying to make the switch? Exporting - hereticalrants - 2010-11-26 When I tried it it exported a file that included information for each flashcard that included keyword, character, what stack the card was in, and some other information. I inported that file into anki, set which fields the keywords and characters would go in as front/back, and imported what stack the card was in into tags. I then rescheduled all of the cards based on what stack they were tagged as being in. I scheduled stack one for review in 1-3 days, stack two for review in 5-10 days, etc. The whole process took about five minutes. Since this site has editable keywords now, though, if I were doing it again, I'd stick with this site. You stop reviewing RTK after a while anyway, and most likely start using Anki for all of the other things, and I like this site's restudy features. Exporting - FooSoft - 2010-11-26 There's a plugin for Anki to allow you to do imports, so making a switch should be trivial if that's what you decide to do. Exporting - hereticalrants - 2010-11-26 One minor issue is that I couldn't figure out how to get the interval and last/next review information into Anki. That's why I rescheduled the cards based on what stack they were in alone. Exporting - ファブリス - 2010-11-26 Should you decide to, at anytime: * You can export your stories in the Study > All My Stories page. * You can export your flashcards in Manage > Export Flashcards. Also see How to use the flashcard and stories exports in the Feedback forum, should you need any help to convert the data one way or another. Happy reviewin' Exporting - unauthorized - 2011-01-03 If you already use anki, for vocab, it would probably be slightly more convenient to transfer there. Otherwise, the only reasons one may want to migrate are: - offline reviews - more formatting options (formatted text, images, etc...) - adjustable multipliers for passed/failed cards If you don't care for neither of the above, stick to RevTK. Lastly, as an Anki convert myself, I am convinced that there would be no reason for you to go back to RevTK should you decide to switch. Both systems are just as easy and simple to use, and have no major drawbacks or usability problems. You can even download the shared RTK deck with links to the kanji page on this very site. |
