I'm not suggesting my techno stories are particularly any good (well they are for me) but they might tickle you if you like that sort of thing. Techno SIG - shaydwyrm - 2007-07-18 I just started listening to techno about a month ago, thanks to my girlfriend dragging me to a couple clubs. I wouldn't call myself a fan yet, but if you have some recommendations as to what artists I should try listening to, I'd love to hear them. Perhaps I will become one by the time I get to Japan (in about a month). Techno SIG - wasurenaide - 2007-07-26 essential listening: Underground Resistance, Drexciya, Basic Channel, Rob Hood, Jeff Mills, Ricardo Villalobos, Atom Heart and related projects, Richie Hawtin's mixmag live mix, 3 chairs label, Orac label, sonicsunset.com online internet station... er, that ought to get you started. Techno SIG - Megaqwerty - 2007-07-26 Wait, wait, a guy named "synewave" is a fan of techno? I bring nothing to the table... Has a wide variety of stuff from funky grooves through to pots and pans! Aug 18th part 2 is doing it for me just now. Techno SIG - shaydwyrm - 2007-09-02 Thanks! Unfortunately, since arriving in Japan, I've only had access to the internet at work, so no new music for me for the moment. However, one of my coworkers is a devout techno fan, so I'll have some support! |
