epic kanji fail - mezbup - 2010-11-11 57 seconds in. LOL. supposed to mean "assets". I mean wtf. Chinese it means financial ability. Guess it kinda reminds me of a scene in 花ざかりの君たちへ where one guy who likes to use English willy-nilly blurts out "Let's dancing!" I mean why on earth don't these idiots check if this shit is actually correct before making themselves look insanely dumb? epic kanji fail - quincy - 2010-11-12 Looks more like epic movie fail to me. I'm more interested in how you were able to make it far enough into the trailer to notice this. epic kanji fail - Nukemarine - 2010-11-12 Thanks, really was worth a laugh. epic kanji fail - nest0r - 2010-11-12 If his character was a greedy capitalist and meant 財力 for 'wealth' or 'financial power' or something it would be lame Orientalism (invoking the mysticism of another language, kind of like a Japanese person getting the words "New Car" tattooed on their arm in English), but seeing the upside down and backwards characters is just hilarious. It's a fake tattoo, if image searches for the actor are any indication, which I suppose means the production budget ran out and they just grabbed a magic marker, a mirror, and um, stood on their head while writing the first part. epic kanji fail - Evil_Dragon - 2010-11-12 They finally made a "Hanzi Smatter" movie, eh? epic kanji fail - mezbup - 2010-11-12 I was just watching a tonne of movie trailers to see if there was anything interesting I wanted to watch but it turns out that no there wasn't. It's obviously not a real tattoo, 見た感じで it looks like its drawn on with sharpie. And omg a hanzi smatter movie would be awesome. I told a Japanese friend about it and he showed me a picture of a guy he and his friends saw wearing a shirt that say いい国を作るために、キャバクラブを作ろう or something like that. Was crackup. |
