I need to mail some stuff to Japan, and my options are Priority mail and first class. Does anyone know how long it will take first class mail to get to Japan? It looks like it can be significantly cheaper than priority, but I can't find any info about how long it would take.

From experience when I send priority packages (flat rate box) from California to an APO/FPO box in Japan it takes 10-11 days including weekends. Recently I ordered something first class off Amazon to be shipped to that address, it's been about 20 days since it shipped and it hasn't come yet. This could be for a variety of reasons, though. And the time frame for APO/FPO could be totally different from how long yours would take. I would guess about three weeks for first class? Probably not longer than a month.

Mail into Japan seems to take about 7-8 working days atm for some reason. But only 3-4 days out.. Judging by the mail I've sent and received since being here. (to and from Britain tho.. not America.)
