Mind Mapping - mukade - 2007-07-15 A useful free program for mind mapping is `FreeMind'. You can get it at http://freemind.sourceforge.net/ Mind Mapping - Mighty_Matt - 2007-07-15 I've never got mind mapping to work for me. Always seemed like you spent longer drawing pretty pictures than actually studying something!! I guess it might appeal to more creative people though. Mind Mapping - narafan - 2007-07-16 Any kanji I find difficult I kind of add to a "town" in my imagination. Slowly kanji that work their way into it get remembered better - it's like one big story. A small section of the town for each kanji ![]() Guess that's my mind map. Mind Mapping - mukade - 2007-07-16 I'm using FreeMind to make 'Pub Crawls'. A representative Kanji is linked to the name of the pub as a story: for example one pub is called The Watering Hole and features the kanji for a spring. Inside the pub are all things springy so to speak. I am designing each pub crawl on paper first, which is an additional way to reinforce the learning process. Then, when I have time I transfer the information into the software. The idea is that by doing this I will eventually be able to expand any kanji and it's story to include the Japanese readings. Tentatively I imagine my pubs as having snugs where whole families of kanji can get together and enjoy an evening. Mind Mapping - jettyke - 2011-04-25 I'm thinking of making a productivity mind map.(probably after my biology exam. It'd be a win-win situa.) 1)Essential needs for well-being. 2) What I need to do to preserve well-being 3) things that get in the way. 4) learning from mistakes etc. I like mindmanager 9 more. A year ago I made a beautiful mind map with pictures about reaching my goal of going to japan(it's in Japanese and english mixed) If anyone's interested in it... It's for my master thesis, I'm using it to brainstorm, and it has been working fine so far. But I wouldn't know how to use mind map as a pure memorization tool, plus it'd be time consuming. Mind Mapping - ファブリス - 2011-04-26 I had a stint with the MindMeister web app a while ago. Nowadays I use mindmaps not so much to brainstorm, but to help me get an overview on a subject. I find it much more fun to use a 4-Color Ballpoint Pen from Bic and a sheet of paper. Mind Mapping - deign - 2011-04-27 A very complete one is XMIND also |
