Comparison between japanese Sensei and japaneseLS apps - aargh57 - 2010-11-06 Hi. I just got a néw iPhone and am thinking of getting either Sensei or LS. I'm talking about Japanese LS here not kanji LS(I may get that one in addition to one of the other two. Any suggestions on which is better? I'll give you a heads up though, writing recognition has only worked for me with very simple kanji on the app I use. If I had money, I'd get it and try it out. Comparison between japanese Sensei and japaneseLS apps - Katsuo - 2010-11-06 Japanese LS Touch: I haven't tried this so can't really comment, but looking at the app info page it seems more like Kotoba than Japanese Sensei. Japanese Sensei: has fewer sentences (9,619) than the above, but they are from a more reliable source (Halpern rather than Tanaka) and also includes sound files. (Incidentally, Smart.fm Core series sentences are taken from the same source.) User Interface is quite good.
