My wall - Murten - 2010-10-28 Besides studying kanji this summer, I just thought I´d show you something else I´ve been working on.. ![]() (don´t forget the sound..) My wall - EratiK - 2010-10-28 Old School!!! ^_^ That's really well made , impressive piece of work you've got there. I just can picture you jumping along the walls when you feel a little down (with the mario tune playing in the background). Soothing (even the clouds are nice!). My wall - TaylorSan - 2010-10-29 すごい! I remember when this game first came out in the arcade - it really was a major thing, with kids crowding up around it - I couldn't even get my shot for what seemed like weeks (the older kids owned that shit). One day, I finally procured myself a quarter (not the easiest thing to do when I was in fourth grade) and with much excitement discovered an open machine at the local 7-11. The hype had been building for quite a while - it was a big moment... I charged into 1-1 full of hope for glory - only to die in like 3 seconds! I never made it to that flag pole that day either - it was a pretty pathetic performance, and I was really bummed at the time, but it's a fond memory now. Of course that was before anyone had a Nintendo, and years later I mastered it. One of the truly great games! My wall - caivano - 2010-10-29 that's class! My wall - Murten - 2010-10-30 Thanks guys =) TaylorSan Wrote:I remember when this game first came out in the arcadeYou had it in the arcade?! Wow, I dont think I ever saw it in any arcade in Sweden. But I do remember when me and my sister got the Nintendo as a christmaspresent, with Super Mario Bros.1/Duck Hunt in the same game. My first game ever, I was 7, back in 1989 =) My wall - Murten - 2010-10-31 It took a while to figure out the best colors and where to put those pears/pixels to make it look right yeah =) Those clips are quite unreal.. I´d seen the first but not the second one. Speaking about 5 min.. I guess this is what you are talking about.. ![]() Cant believe that the guy playing is only 20 years old, he wasnt even born when the game was in its prime! My wall - Proxx - 2010-10-31 That's awesome! I guess my girlfriend would never approve of that. Great idea and great realisation
My wall - Murten - 2010-10-31 My girlfriend loves it, lucky me.. =) My wall - TaylorSan - 2010-10-31 Yeah that and Street Fighter II were HUGE in the arcade in their day. The same thing happened to me on Street Fighter II as well - I waited forever to get my shot, only to get destroyed in seconds. I also had the Duck hunt version (also a classic). One summer my brother and I had a tent set up in our yard with an extension cord supplied Nintendo inside. We spent all summer staying in that thing, and completely mastered Mario II. It was good times LOL - I kinda wish I could do that now... My wall - TheVinster - 2010-10-31 Well you must be excited for the 25th year collection coming out... My wall - masaman - 2010-10-31 You matched the lampshade too. Hats off to you.
