Everyone should write and submit a haiku (5-7-5) or tanka (5-7-5-7-7) in Japanese.

Actually, I have to write some haiku and tanka for a Japanese pedagogy course I'm doing, but I'm writing some extra ones for fun.

Yeah, I was sitting in bed and I was like "to be 'authentic' don't I need a seasonal reference?"
I wanted to add in the word 萌える and maybe have a double meaning going on, but it didn't quite fit with this one.

Hmm, I tried writing two tanka some time ago when I was reading a bunch, but they're probably not any good. All I did was copy a bunch of images from the poems but I guess that's what the "real" poets did too...

I have not studied that much grammar yet, so I am not sure if this makes any sense. Also, does 秋 count as a 季語 if it is part of the place name 秋葉原? And is it wrong to start a line with を?
