Japanese software- can't read the menu - aovora - 2010-08-11
Hi,
I just downloaded a japanese software. my problem is, that the menu is unreadable ( I mean it doesnt have japanese characters but unreadable characters that make no sense). Like when the format of a homepage is shift-jis and my browser reads it as unicode.
it is a dictionary reader and the dictionary entries are scrambled, too.
I use win xp (english)
could anybody please help me with that?

It's not a Unicode program, so it's using your default locale, which I guess isn't Japanese. Microsoft App Locale will fix the problem.
